Andrew joined Lingraphica as CEO in 2003 after serving as Senior VP of Product Development at Juice Software, an enterprise software company. Previously he was VP of Product Development at iFace, a voice-over-Internet company, and VP of Product & Business Development at ALK Associates, a pioneer in the computer mapping, routing, and logistics industry. Andrew graduated from Princeton University and holds an MS in Computer Science from Rutgers University.Richard D Steele, PhD
Chief Scientist
As Lingraphica's Chief Scientist, Dick is responsible for the Lingraphica treatment technology as well as for the research on its effectiveness. Dick was previously Research Health Scientist at the Rehabilitation Research and Development Center of the Palo Alto VA Medical Center, and he holds three U.S. patents related to rehabilitation. Earlier in his career Dick taught Slavic languages and linguistics at several colleges and universities. He graduated with a BS in Physics from Stanford University and an MA and Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Linguistics from Harvard University.
Veronica M. Harris, RN , MA-CCC , SLP
Vice President of Clinical Services
Veronica joined Lingraphica in 1991. Currently VP of Clinical Services, in the past she served as Manager of Clinical Affairs, Program Director of the Language Care Center Program, and VP of Operations. She was instrumental in the development of treatment and training protocols for the Language Care Centers and has had extensive hands-on experience treating patients. She has presented at numerous conferences and seminars. Veronica's experience in healthcare includes serving as Director of Professional Services at a home care agency, Administrator of an outpatient rehabilitation facility, and owner and operator of a successful private practice serving adults with speech and language disorders. A registered nurse prior to her career in speech pathology, Veronica holds a BA in Communication Disorders and an MA in Speech Pathology from the California State University at San Francisco.
Victoria Stezzi, BSN, RN
Clinical Consultant
Victoria started her career as a cardiac-care nurse at The Medical Center at Princeton. Over the next six years she worked in ophthalmology, beginning as the head ophthalmic nurse at a laser vision correction center in Pennsylvania. She then moved into sales of ophthalmic pharmaceuticals and was eventually transferred to Arizona to manage the West Coast region for an ophthalmic division of Johnson & Johnson. She returned to New Jersey to be close to family. Victoria graduated with a BSN from Rutgers College of Nursing in New Jersey.
Lisa Haynes, M.S.,CCC-SLP
Clinical Consultant
For three years after receiving certification as a speech-language pathologist and an AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) specialist, Lisa worked as a traveling SLP in skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. She also has several years experience supervising SLPs in a variety of settings. Before joining Lingraphica, she trained clinical staff and caregivers as an AAC consultant. Lisa graduated with a BS and an MS from Kansas State University.
Georgia Upshaw
Customer Service Representative
Georgia introduces the Lingraphica and our trial process to clinicians who will be recommending the device to patients. She also communicates with graduate and undergraduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology about our University Program. Georgia worked for 13 years in New York City as Regional Marketing Manager at Better Benefits, an affiliate of American Dental Examiners, and in the San Francisco Bay Area for 7 years as Director of Admissions for Piedmont Gardens, a multi-level, continuing-care retirement community. She graduated magna cum laude from the Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts. In New York she also sang professionally and advocated for affordable housing.
Judith Sherwood
Customer Service Representative
Judy responds to informational inquiries from speech-language pathologists and caregivers, and also handles our Spanish-language support. She loves the contact with Lingraphica's clients, and feels best when she can be of help. Born in the Dominican Republic, she came to New Jersey in 1987 and moved to Pennsylvania to attend college and study international business. After a few years in real estate, she made the switch to Lingraphica and has never looked back. Judy is proud to be a Specialist in the US Army Reserve, and in her spare time she enjoys reading, working out, and going to the movies.
Jessica Caruso
Production Supervisor
Jessica customizes the Lingraphica for the unique needs of patients and their caregivers, and provides tech support. She enjoys the opportunity to help people who are looking for answers for a loved one or a patient with aphasia. After graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in English in 2006, Jessica spent a few years as a manager in the restaurant business. Her work at Lingraphica is gratifying, she says, "because I am able to offer people a product that is unique." Jessica lives in New Jersey with her family, and hopes to continue her education further with a possible view to teaching.
