The best way to know if the Lingraphica is right for a person with aphasia is to try it. That is why we offer a loaner Lingraphica, free of charge, to any patient, once we have verified insurance coverage. There is no obligation to purchase the Lingraphica or make any payments to us.
How to Participate in a Lingraphica Trial
What Happens during the Trial
How Long the Trial Takes
How You Get Your Own Lingraphica
How a Patient's Lingraphica is Customized

In order to try a Lingraphica, you work with a speech-language pathologist (SLP) who will supervise the trial and help determine if you could benefit from the device. If you do not already have an SLP, Lingraphica will find one for you.

During the first phase of the trial, you are evaluated and introduced to the basic operations of the device by your SLP. In the second phase, you work independently with the device while also continuing therapy sessions. In the third phase, you and your SLP together decide whether to order your own Lingraphica.

From start to finish the trial takes approximately four weeks.

Like any medical device, the Lingraphica needs to be recommended by healthcare professionals. To make this part of the process easy, Lingraphica's experienced staff works with your SLP, physician, and insurer to obtain the necessary paperwork. All you need to do is sign a release authorizing us to contact the insurer on your behalf. We do the rest.

If your trial is successful and a device is ordered for you, your SLP helps you fill out a Lingraphica Personal Interests Form. We take that form and use it to configure a unique device with your information on it. Right out of the box the device will contain phrases like "Hi, my name is XXX," "I like to watch the Phillies," or "Dunkin' Donuts is my favorite for breakfast."
