She worked previously in computer support and laboratory management at Howard Hughes Medical Institute Laboratories at Rutgers University, UC-Berkeley, and MIT. She has also owned a computer consulting firm and managed a dog day-care center. Pam graduated with a BA in English and American Literature from Brandeis University.
