Lingraphica has three apps for the iPhone and iPod touch. These apps add the benefits of portability to the communication and unlimited practice offered by the Lingraphica. |

SmallTalk Aphasia turns the iPhone or iPod touch into a mobile accessory to the Lingraphica. It allows users to take their favorite icons, phrases, and videos from the Lingraphica along with them wherever they go. It is ideal for use in everyday situations such as shopping, doctor’s appointments, phone conversations, or emergencies. This app is designed to work in tandem with the Lingraphica. You simply create your own selection of icons, phrases, and videos on the Lingraphica, and SmallTalk Aphasia transfers them to your iPhone or iPod touch.
If you already own an iPod touch or an iPhone, you can download the SmallTalk Aphasia app free from the App Store. It comes with a starter set of icons and videos. Lingraphica owners can purchase a complete SmallTalk package directly from us for $350; it consists of an iPod touch loaded with SmallTalk Aphasia, a protective speaker case, earphones, and a wall charger. We will also preload it with your personalized information.

SmallTalk Dysphagia is designed for people with dysphagia — an impairment of the ability to swallow. This app provides a set of icons and phrases that allow patients to communicate their swallowing needs to caregivers and health-care providers who are helping them to eat. It contains 50 phrases covering adaptive eating equipment, meal assistance, diet, liquids, medications, and compensatory treatment techniques. It also contains four demonstration videos of treatment techniques commonly used for swallowing. SmallTalk Dysphagia can be set to speak in a male or female voice. You can order it through the App Store for $19.99.

SmallTalk Oral Motor Exercises is designed for people with disorders that affect mouth, tongue, and lip muscles and/or oral coordination. This app consists of 52 videos illustrating cheek, tongue, soft palate, lip, and jaw movements that help strengthen the oral musculature. Because each exercise comes as an individual video, users can focus on the exercises they need and practice as often as they like. This app can be useful to people with degenerative neurological conditions, developmental disorders, or head injuries, as well as aphasia. You can order it through the App Store for $19.99.
SmallTalk Dysphagia and SmallTalk Oral Motor Exercises are created by Lingraphica and authored by Mary Pitti, MS, CCC-SLP, Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at Ithaca College, and Elizabeth Begley, MA, CCC-SLP, College Station Medical Center, College Station, Texas.
