Aphasia has impacted my speaking, writing and my ability to read numbers.
Two years ago I had a stroke. I was not able to say much. I spoke gibberish. Before my stroke I was the Vice President of a Rehab and Adaptive Equipment Company. My life was contracts, communication and numbers. Through hard work and coaching with my speech therapist and family I can talk today. It’s important for people to learn about Aphasia and for those people who have aphasia to learn about recovery avenues.
