Aphasia Recovery Connection

Aphasia Recovery Connection (ARC) is an award winning 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2013 with a mission to help end the isolation of living with aphasia. ARC provides support services for people with aphasia and their families through regional retreats, daily Zoom calls, online support groups, advocacy and educational materials, and more!

In 1995, ten-year-old David Dow suffered a massive stroke leaving him with Global Aphasia. He would spend the next 15 years in speech therapy regaining his ability to speak, understand, read, and write. David and his mother, Carol Dow-Richards, founded the Aphasia Recovery Connection because they know exactly how isolating aphasia can be.

ARC serves as a lifeline of hope for living with aphasia.
