Hi everyone, I just joined this community. I got a tbi in 1998 and have permanent language difficulties from that. my brain has healed as much as it is ever gonna, so i’m working on living with what i have. back in 1998, this was not on anyone’s radar so i didn’t have a bunch of fancy tests. and, was not aware that i could not understand even though you would think it would be obvious…. i just couldn’t figure it out. it does not exactly match descriptions online either, but i am pretty sure it would be classified as an aphasia and, beside, i know the damage happened in that spot in my temporal lobe, so, going with that.

i mean, why else would a law school merit scholar be sounding out 3 letter words?

anyway, looking forward to joining the dsicusssions.
